PFL’S DONN DAVIS SAYS NATE DIAZ HAS BEEN OFFERED $15 MILLION TO FIGHT JAKE PAUL IN MMA

By David Tees on 11/26/2023 7:17 PM

Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz has already fought and lost to Jake Paul in the boxing ring, but if PFL Founder Donn Davis has his way, the two fighters will have a rematch, but this time under MMA rules.

That’s because Davis has revealed that there has been an offer made to Diaz in the sum of $15 million to fight Paul in the PFL.

“One thing about Nate or fighters or entrepreneurs, they’re their own men,” Davis said on The MMA Hour. “They do what they want to do. Nate will do it when he wants to do it. So I’m just trying to create a canvas that we’re open for business. It’s like the old Motel 6, ‘We’ll Leave The Light On.’ I just want to leave the light on and I want to say, ‘Here’s $15 million. Here’s Jake. We have all the infrastructure at PFL and we’re easy to work with.’ Dink. The light’s on.”

Paul is back in the boxing ring on December 15, facing Andre August, while Diaz’s next move hasn’t been announced at this time.

Davis, whether Paul fights Diaz in the PFL or not, expects Paul to make his pro MMA debut in late-2024.

“Jake was always Q4, because for him to get good in his standards for an MMA fight that’s legitimate worthy, he says he needs that year,” Davis said. “He started training a month ago in the SmartCage, you know, down in his home, so I think that is October, December 2024.”
