A lightweight division attraction has been added to the February 3 UFC Fight Night card according to the Iridium Sports Agency as Marquel Mederos faces Landon Quinones.
Mederos (8-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a six fight winning streak. Mederos competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Issa Isakov by first round TKO during the 2023 season. Mederos hasn’t been defeated in over a year, with his last loss coming to Santiago Guzman at Fury FC 57 in February of 2022.
Quinones (7-2-1) is currently winless in UFC competition, dropping a bout to Nasrat Haqparast by unanimous decision at UFC 293. Quinones spent the majority of his career competing in the Titan FC promotion, where he went a solid 7-1-0. Quinones also competed once in Bellator MMA, fighting Rudisel Mora to a unanimous draw at Bellator: Ford Ecoboost 400.
UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs. Imavov takes place on Saturday, February 3 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Roman Dolidze and Nassaurdine Imavov headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
