A welterweight division attraction has been added to the February 10 UFC Fight Night card according to Damon Martin of MMA Fighting as Jeremiah Wells faces Max Griffin.
Wells (12-3-1) has won four of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Warlley Alves, Mike Mathetha, Court McGee and Matthew Semelsberger. Wells is a former CES MMA Welterweight Champion and he has previously challenged for the CFFC Welterweight Championship. Wells has earned 12 wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Griffin (19-10-0) has won four of his last six in the UFC, with those wins coming against the four pack of Ramiz Brahimaj, Kenan Song, Carlos Condit and Tim Means. Griffin hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming at UFC Fight Night 213 in October of 2022. Griffin competed just one time in 2023, making it his least active year as a professional MMA fighter since competed just once in 2017.
UFC Fight Night: Hermansson vs. Pyfer takes place on Saturday, February 10 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
