A catchweight (140 pounds) fight has been added to next weekend’s UFC Fight Night 233 card according to MMA Latino America as Carlos Vera faces Daniel Marcos.
Vera (11-3-0) is making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Vera hasn’t been defeated in nearly four years, with his last loss coming to Levi Mowles at Atlas Fights 51 in January of 2020. Vera is also competing for the first time in over a year, as his last fight happened in September of 2022.
Marcos (15-0-0) has already earned two wins in UFC competition, with those coming over the duo of Saimon Oliveira and Davey Grant. Marcos also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Brandon Lewis by unanimous decision during the 2022 season. Marcos is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that undefeated streak has lasted over eight years.
UFC Fight Night 233 takes place on Saturday, December 9 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Song Yadong and Chris Gutierrez headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
