REPORT: TIM ELLIOTT STEPS IN AT UFC FIGHT NIGHT 233, FACES SU MUDAERJI

By David Tees on 12/5/2023 12:30 PM

Su Mudaerji needed a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 233 after the withdrawal of Allan Nascimento and now he has one because Patrick McCrorry has reported that Tim Elliott has accepted the short notice opportunity.

Mudaerji (16-5-0) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Andre Soukhamthath, Malcolm Gordon and Zarrukh Adashev. Mudaerji hasn’t picked up a victory in almost three years, with his last win coming at UFC On ESPN 30 in January of 2021. Mudaerji also hasn’t competed in over a year, as his last bout happened at UFC On ABC 3 in July of 2022.

Elliott (19-13-1) has won two of his last four in the UFC, having defeated the duo of Tagir Ulanbekov and Victor Altamirano. Elliott has previously challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Demetrious Johnson at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale. Elliott has earned 19 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 10 of them have come by way of decision.

UFC Fight Night 233 takes place on Saturday, December 9 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Song Yadong and Chris Gutierrez headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
