A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Riyadh according to Eurosport as #7 Alex Perez faces #9 Muhammad Mokaev.
Perez (24-7-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Deiveson Figueiredo and Alexandre Pantoja. Perez is competing for the first time in over a year, as his last bout happened at UFC 277 in July of 2022. Perez has previously challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 255.
Mokaev (11-0-0-1NC) has already earned five wins under the UFC banner, with those coming over Cody Durden, Charles Johnson, Malcolm Gordon, Jafel Filho and Tim Elliott. Mokaev’s lone blemish as a professional MMA fighter was a no contest against Ibragim Navruzov at Brave CF 51. Mokaev also went undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter, with an amateur record of 23-0-0.
UFC Fight Night Riyadh takes place on Saturday, March 2 from the Boulevard Hall in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
