A bantamweight division affair is coming to UFC 298 according to MMA Junkie as #2 Merab Dvalishvili faces #3 Henry Cejudo.
Dvalishvili (16-4-0) enters the contest on a nine fight winning streak, with notable wins coming over Casey Kenney, John Dodson, Marlon Moraes, Cody Stamann and Petr Yan. Dvalishvili hasn’t been defeated in over five years, with that last loss coming to Ricky Simon at UFC Fight Night 128. Dvalishvili has earned 16 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 12 of them have come by way of decision.
Cejudo (16-3-0) has competed just once in the last three-plus years, with was a loss to then bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288. Cejudo hasn’t earned a victory in over three years, with that last win coming over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. Cejudo is a former two division champion in the UFC, as he had previously held the UFC Bantamweight and UFC Flyweight Titles.
