By David Tees on 12/12/2023 1:05 PM

A heavyweight division attraction is set to headline the March 16 UFC Fight Night card, which was announced earlier today by the promotion, as #9 Tai Tuivasa faces #10 Marcin Tybura.

Tuivasa (14-6-0) enters the contest riding a three fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Ciryl Gane, Sergei Pavlovich and Alexander Volkov. Tuivasa hasn’t won a fight in almost two years, with that last win coming over Derrick Lewis at UFC 271. Tuivasa has earned 14 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 13 of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

Tybura (24-8-0) has won two of his last four in the UFC, with those wins coming over the duo of Alexander Romanov and Blagoy Ivanov. Tybura has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came to past/current UFC fighters. Tybura has competed a total of 32 times as a professional MMA fighter and just 12 of those bouts went the distance.

UFC Fight Night: Tuivasa vs. Tybura is set for Saturday, March 16 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
