A welterweight division attraction has been announced for UFC 299 by UFC CEO Dana White as #8 Geoff Neal faces #10 Ian Garry.
Neal (15-5-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Santiago Ponzinibbio and Vicente Luque. Neal hasn’t won a fight in over a year, with that last victory coming at UFC On ESPN 40 in August of 2022. Neal has earned 15 wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Garry (13-0-0) has earned six wins in the UFC, with those wins coming over Jordan Williams, Darian Weeks, Gabriel Green, Kenan Song, Daniel Rodriguez and Neil Magny. Garry is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has lasted for over four years. Garry has competed 13 times as a professional MMA fighter and just five of those encounters went the distance.
UFC 299 takes place on Saturday, March 9 from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida with Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera headlining.
