BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series Returns to Biloxi, Mississippi for BYB 24 Super Brawl Saturday on February 10, 2024
BYB Heavyweight champion DJ “Da Protege” Linderman defends his title against undefeated challenger “Hurricane” Ike Villanueva; Harold “Lightning” McQueen gets another shot at the BYB Featherweight champion Brandon “Slaughterhouse” Birr in a rematch from August’s BYB 19 6-round slugfest that saw Birr capture the inaugural belt by DQ.
Biloxi, MS – BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series returns for the third time to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi for another star-studded bare knuckle card at BYB 24: Super Brawl Saturday on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
The event will be highlighted by a pair of co-main event title fights as BYB heavyweight champion DJ “Da Protege” Linderman, undefeated in the Trigon with 3 knockouts, faces 2-0 (2 KOs) former UFC star Ike Villanueva, and undefeated (3-0, 2 KOs) BYB featherweight champion Brandon “Slaughterhouse” Birr takes on Harold “Lightning” McQueen in a rematch from their August fight for the inaugural division belt that saw Birr win by DQ in the 6th round.
Villanueva, coming off a pair of first round knockouts, has had Linderman in his sights since his debut, and has made no secret of his intentions to challenge for the belt. He simply advised the champion: “Hey DJ, welcome to the South. Bring your A game.”
Linderman, who has run through the division since his BYB debut, doesn’t lack confidence in the challenge: “No matter where this goes, it will be me with my hand raised because hurricanes don’t last long.”
Birr and McQueen were even more direct.
Birr on the rematch: “I hope he [McQueen] prepares for a war this time. Last time he thought he was going to run through me like these other guys. When we got to the 4th, 5th, 6th round, he was fading and I was still going strong. I took every punch he had and kept pushing forward. This rematch will be a 2024 fight of the year candidate for sure.”
McQueen: “Everyone I've been in the Trigon with, I’ve put out of commission. Brandon was no exception. I beat his ass the first fight, and this time I’m making sure to dust his ass off so he’s taking a dirt nap like everyone else. Goodnight.”
