A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to the March 23 UFC Fight Night card according to AG Fight as Stephanie Luciano faces Shauna Bannon.
Luciano (5-1-1) is making her UFC debut in this encounter and does so having won two of her last four fights. Luciano competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, fighting Talita Alencar to a unanimous draw during the 2023 season. Luciano has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and none of her fights have yet to end by way of submission.
Bannon (5-1-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Bruna Brasil via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 224. Bannon has seen her last four fights go the distance and it has been over a year since the fighter got a finish. Bannon competed twice in Invicta FC, defeating the duo of Nadia Vera and Minna Grusander.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time.
