A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Mexico City according to Carlos Contreras Legaspi as Jesus Santos Aguilar faces Mateus Mendonca.
Aguilar (9-2-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Shannon Ross at UFC 290. Aguilar competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Erisson Ferreira Da Silva by third round submission during the 2022 season. Aguilar has earned nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of those have come by way of submission.
Mendonca (10-2-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping bouts to the duo of Javid Basharat and Nathan Maness. Mendonca also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Ashiek Ajim by first round knockout during the 2022 season. Mendonca has competed 12 times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night Mexico City takes place on Saturday, February 24 from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico with Brandon Moreno and Amir Albazi headlining.
