Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor hasn’t competed since suffering a first round TKO loss to former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July of 2021.
McGregor has started venting his frustrations towards the UFC for not being booked in a fight after healing from his leg injury, but UFC CEO Dana White believes the McGregor situation should be resolved soon.
“I talked to Conor today,” White said on Instagram Live (transcript via Alexander K. Lee of MMA Fighting). “I’m in Abu Dhabi right now, Conor’s in Dubai. We talked tonight. He and I will get something figured out soon. We’re talking.”
The former two division champion hasn’t won a fight in almost four years, with his last win coming over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in January of 2020.
