Matthew Wells of MMA Junkie has provided the following transcript of what McGregor said in the video posted on X:
“Ladies and gentlemen, Happy New Year to you all. I’d like to announce the return date for myself, ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor. The greatest comeback of all time will take place in Las Vegas for International Fight Week on June 29, and the opponent, Michael Chandler. And the weight Mr. Chandler, 185 pounds,” McGregor said followed by comical laughter.
It should be noted that the UFC has yet to confirm the fight or what weight class it will be in.
Chandler, who like McGregor, has never competed at middleweight, issued a response of his own on X:
I always said I wanted you at your biggest, your baddest and your best. 185 would look good on me.

McGregor will be looking to pick up his first win in over four years when he faces Chandler, while Chandler has won two of five under the UFC banner.
