Khamzat Chimaev hasn’t competed since scoring a majority decision win over former UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 294.
Chimaev had hand surgery after the fight, but now it appears, at least through various social media posts by the fighter, that some additional health issues are keeping him from fighting, but things could also be looking up for the UFC star:

“I’m coming back soon for my belt,” Chimaev said in the video (transcript via Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie).
The fighter, who also dealt with serious health issues due to COVID in 2020, has no return date set at this time.
