A middleweight division attraction will headline the April 6 UFC Fight Night card by the UFC as #5 Marvin Vettori faces #8 Brendan Allen.
Vettori (19-7-1) has rotated wins and losses in his last six UFC appearances, with his last bout being a unanimous decision loss to Jared Cannonier at UFC On ESPN 47. Vettori has previously challenged for the UFC Middleweight Title, losing to then champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 263. Vettori hasn’t put a winning streak together in over two years and his last such streak lasted for five fights.
Allen (23-5-0) enters the contest riding a six fight winning streak, with notable wins coming over Krzysztof Jotko, Bruno Silva, Andre Muniz and Paul Craig. Allen hasn’t been defeated in over two years, with his last loss coming to Chris Curtis at UFC On ESPN 31. Allen has earned 23 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 14 of them have come by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 6 from a location to be announced and with Marvin Vettori and Brendan Allen headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
