A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Atlantic City according to Laerte Viana as Chris Weidman faces Bruno Silva.
Weidman (15-7-0) has won two of his last nine under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Kelvin Gastelum and Omari Akhmedov. Weidman hasn’t won a fight in over three years, with his last win coming at UFC Fight Night 174 in August of 2020. Weidman is a former UFC Middleweight Champion, defeating Anderson Silva to win the gold at UFC 162.
Silva (23-10-0) has won just one of his last five in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Brad Tavares at UFC Fight Night 222. Silva hasn’t put a winning streak together in over three years and his last such streak lasted for seven fights. Silva has earned 23 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 20 of those victories came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Atlantic City takes place on Saturday, March 30 from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
