A featherweight division attraction has been added to the March 23 UFC Fight Night card according to Marcel Dorff as Steven Nguyen faces Jarno Errens.
Nguyen (9-1-0) is making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a three fight winning streak. Nguyen competed three times on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating the duo of Theo Rlayang and AJ Cunningham, while being defeated by Aalon Cruz. Nguyen hasn’t been defeated in over four years, but he has also competed just once in the last two-plus years.
Errens (13-5-1) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping bouts to the duo of William Gomis and Seung Woo Choi. Errens hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with his last win coming over Alisher Abdulloev in August of 2022. Errens has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and four of those came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
