A bantamweight division attraction has been added to the March 23 UFC Fight Night card according to the Iridium Sports Agency as Davey Grant faces Cody Gibson.
Grant (15-7-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Louis Smolka and Raphael Assuncao. Grant hasn’t won a bout in just about a year, with his last win coming at UFC Fight Night 221 in March of 2023. Grant has earned 15 wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them have come by way of submission.
Gibson (19-9-0) is winless during his second run with the UFC, dropping a fight to Brad Katona via unanimous decision at UFC 292. Gibson won just one of four during his first UFC run, with that lone win coming over Johnny Bedford at UFC Fight Night 44. Gibson has suffered nine losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
