DUSTIN POIRIER VS. BENOIT SAINT-DENIS ADDED TO UFC 299

A five round lightweight division bout will serve as the co-main event of UFC 299 according to UFC CEO Dana White as #3 Dustin Poirier faces #12 Benoit Saint-Denis.

Poirier (29-8-0-1NC) has won four of his last six in the UFC, with those wins coming over Conor McGregor (twice), Dan Hooker and Michael Chandler. Poirier is a former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion, defeating Max Holloway to win the gold at UFC 236. Poirier has earned 29 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 14 of those wins have come by way of KO/TKO.

Saint-Denis (13-1-0-1NC) enters the bout on a five fight winning streak, defeating Niklas Stolze, Gabriel Miranda, Ismael Bonfim, Thiago Moises and Matt Frevola. Saint-Denis has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos at UFC 267. Saint-Denis has competed 15 times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
