A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Mexico City according to Marcel Dorff as Luis Ronaldo Rodriguez faces Denys Bondar.
Rodriguez (16-2-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Rodriguez competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Jerome Rivera during the 2020 season. Rodriguez has earned 16 wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Bondar (14-4-0) is winless thus far during his UFC journey, dropping bouts to the duo of Malcolm Gordon and Carlos Hernandez. Bondar hasn’t earned a victory in over three years, with his last win coming over Kenan Jafarli at an August 2020 WWFC event. Bondar has competed a total of 18 times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of them went the distance.
UFC Fight Night Mexico City takes place on Saturday, February 24 from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico with Brandon Moreno and Amir Albazi headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
