A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Mexico City according to VestnikMMA as Muhammad Naimov faces Erik Silva.
Naimov (10-2-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Jamie Mullarkey and Nathaniel Wood. Naimov hasn’t been defeated in almost three years, with his last loss coming at Titan FC 67 in February of 2021. Naimov has picked up 10 wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Silva (9-2-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a bout to TJ Brown at UFC 282 in December of 2022. Silva is competing for the first time in over a year, as his last fight happened at the aforementioned UFC 282 card. Silva competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Anvar Boynazarov by first round TKO during the 2022 season.
UFC Fight Night Mexico City takes place on Saturday, February 24 from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico with Brandon Moreno and Amir Albazi headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
