A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to the March 23 UFC Fight Night card according to MMA Hoje as #9 Amanda Ribas faces Rose Namajunas.
Ribas (12-4-0) has rotated wins and losses in her last seven UFC bouts, with her latest fight being a third round TKO win over Luana Pinheiro at UFC Fight Night 232. Ribas hasn’t started a winning streak in over seven years and that last streak lasted for a total of five fights. Ribas has earned 12 wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by way of decision.
Namajunas (11-6-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Carla Esparza and Manon Fiorot. Namajunas hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years, with her last win coming over Weili Zhang at UFC 268 in November of 2021. Namajunas has competed 17 times as a professional MMA fighter and eight of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
