By David Tees on 1/10/2024 9:11 PM

A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to the March 16 UFC card according to Marcel Dorff as Cory McKenna faces Jaqueline Amorim.

McKenna (8-2-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Miranda Granger and Cheyanna Vlismas. McKenna hasn’t been defeated in almost two years, with her last loss coming at UFC Fight Night in March of 2022. McKenna competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Vanessa Demopoulos during the 2020 season.

Amorim (7-1-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Montserrat Ruiz at UFC On ESPN 51. Amorim has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Sam Hughes at UFC 287. Amorim has picked up seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by way of submission.

UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 16 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
