A welterweight division attraction has been added to the March 16 UFC Fight Night Card according to the Iridium Sports Agency as Bryan Battle faces Ange Loosa.
Battle (10-2-0) enters the contest on a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Gabriel Green and AJ Fletcher. Battle was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 29, defeating Gilbert Urbina in the finals of the reality show. Battle also won seven of nine as an amateur MMA fighter, with one of those wins coming over fellow UFC fighter Cody Brundage.
Loosa (10-3-0) also comes into the bout riding a two fight winning streak, having beaten the duo of AJ Fletcher and Rhys McKee. Loosa competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Jack Della Maddalena during the 2021 season. Loosa has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats came by decision.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 16 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
