By David Tees on 1/11/2024 10:31 AM

A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Saudi Arabia according to Alex Behunin as Javid Basharat faces Aiemann Zahabi.

Basharat (14-0-0-1NC) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Trevin Jones, Tony Gravely and Mateus Mendonca. Basharat has one blemish on his pro MMA record and that is a no contest against Victor Henry at UFC 294. Basharat competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Oron Kahlon by third round submission during the 2021 season.

Zahabi (10-2-0) enters the contest on a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Drako Rodriguez, Ricky Turcios and Qileng Aori. Zahabi hasn’t been defeated in over four years, with his last loss coming at UFC Fight Night 151 in May of 2019. Zahabi has earned 10 wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Saudi Arabia is set for Saturday, March 2 from the Boulevard Hall in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
