A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Saudi Arabia according to Alex Behunin as Brendon Marotte faces Mohammad Yahya.
Marotte (8-2-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Terrance McKinney at UFC Fight Night 230. Marotte last picked up a victory since August of 2023, where he defeated Lionel Young at Combat Zone MMA 81. Marotte has earned eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of those wins came by way of KO/TKO.
Yahya (12-4-0) is also winless thus far during his UFC tenure, having suffered a defeat to Trevor Peek at UFC 294. Yahya is a former UAE Lightweight Champion, but he relinquished the championship when he signed with the UFC last year. Yahya has competed 16 times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night Saudi Arabia is set for Saturday, March 2 from the Boulevard Hall in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
