ZHANG WELI DEFENDS WOMEN’S STRAWWEIGHT TITLE AGAINST YAN XIAONON AT UFC 300

The UFC Women’s Strawweight Title will be defended at UFC 300, first announced by UFC CEO Dana White, as champ Zhang Weili defends against #2 Yan Xiaonan.

Weili (24-3-0) is making the second defense of her championship during her second reign, first defending it against Amanda Lemos at UFC 292. Weili enters the contest on a three fight winning streak and she hasn’t been defeated in over two years. Weili has earned 24 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 11 of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

Xiaonan (18-3-0-1NC) enters the contest on a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Mackenzie Dern and Jessica Andrade. Xiaonan hasn’t suffered a loss in almost two years, with her last loss coming at UFC 272 in March of 2022. Xiaonan has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, with one coming by KO/TKO, one by submission and one by decision.

UFC 300 takes place on Saturday, April 13 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
