A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC 300 according to AG Fight as #8 Deiveson Figueiredo faces Cody Garbrandt.
Figueiredo (22-3-1) has been undefeated since moving up a weight class to bantamweight, having defeated Rob Font by unanimous decision at UFC On ESPN 52. Figueiredo is a former multi-time UFC Flyweight Champion, defeating Joseph Benavidez and Brandon Moreno to start those reigns. Figueiredo has competed 26 times as a professional MMA fighter and just seven of those encounters have gone the distance.
Garbrandt (13-5-0) enters the contest on a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Trevin Jones and Brian Kelelher. Garbrandt is a former UFC Bantamweight Champion, defeating Dominick Cruz to win the title at UFC 207 in December of 2016. Garbrandt has competed a total of 18 times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his fights have ended by submission.
UFC 300 takes place on Saturday, April 13 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
