A battle of heavyweight champions is set for PFLxBellator according to Pelunaton as Bellator Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader faces PFL Heavyweight Champion Renan Ferreira.
Bader (31-7-0-1NC) enters the contest on a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Valentin Moldavsky, Cheick Kongo and Fedor Emelianenko. Bader is a former two division champion in Bellator, as he is also a former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion. Bader also won the Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix, defeating the aforementioned Emelianenko in their first meeting, which was also the finals of the grand prix.
Ferreira (12-3-0-1NC) won the PFL Heavyweight Title with a second round TKO win over Denis Goltsov at the 2023 PFL World Championships. Ferreira also enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak, with those other wins coming over Matheus Scheffel and Maurice Greene. Ferreira has earned 12 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 10 of those have come by way of KO/TKO.
