A lightweight division attraction has been added to the April 6 UFC Fight Night card according to Carlos Contreras Legaspi as Ignacio Bahamondes faces Christos Giagos.
Bahamondes (14-5-0) has won three of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Roosevelt Roberts, Zhu Rong and Trey Ogden. Bahamondes has competed five times in the UFC and all five of those bouts ended in the third round or went the distance altogether. Bahamondes competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Edson Gomez by second round knockout during the 2020 season.
Giagos (20-11-0) has won just one of his last four in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Rick Glenn at UFC Fight Night 222. Giagos hasn’t started a winning streak in over three years and his last such streak lasted for just two fights. Giagos has earned 20 wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs. Allen is set for Saturday, April 6 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Marvin Vettori and Brendan Allen headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
