UFC Flyweight Champion Alexandre Pantoja last defended the gold against Brandon Royval at UFC 296, scoring a unanimous decision victory.
While the champion didn’t name an opponent, one thing Pantoja did reveal was that his next title defense will happen on May 4.
“I’ll be defending the belt in Rio, on May 4,” he said while appearing at an event for the Brazilian soccer team Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (transcript via MMA Fighting).
The UFC has not confirmed when Pantoja’s next title fight would happen or whom that opponent would be.
