Chris Barnett has been pulled from the March 23 UFC Fight Night card according to Marcel Dorff, replacing him against Mohammed Usman is Mick Parkin.
Usman (10-2-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Zac Pauga, Junior Tafa and Jake Collier. Usman was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 30, defeating the aforementioned Pauga in the finals of the reality show. Usman is the brother of former UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman, who last competed at UFC 294 in October of 2023.
Parkin (8-0-0) has already picked up two wins in the UFC, defeating the duo of Jamal Pogues and Caio Machado. Parkin competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Eduardo Neves by first round submission during the 2022 season. Parkin has earned eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night: Ribas vs. Namajunas takes place on Saturday, March 23 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Ribas and Rose Namajunas headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast details have yet to be revealed.
