A bantamweight division attraction has been added to the March 23 UFC Fight Night card according to MMA Fighting as Payton Talbott faces Cameron Saaimon.
Talbott (7-0-0) has already earned a single win under the UFC banner, which came over Nick Aguirre by third round submission at UFC Fight Night 232. Talbott also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Reyes Cortez Jr. by unanimous decision during the 2023 season. Talbott has earned seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by KO/TKO.
Saaimon (9-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Christian Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 230 in October of 2023. Saaimon had won three straight in the UFC before that defeat, with those wins coming over Steven Koslow, Leomana Martinez and Terrance Mitchell. Saaimon also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Josh Wang Kim by third round knockout during the 2022 season.
UFC Fight Night: Ribas vs. Namajunas takes place on Saturday, March 23 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Ribas and Rose Namajunas headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast details have yet to be revealed.
