A heavyweight division attraction has been announced for the April 27 UFC Fight Night card by All In Sports Management as Jhonata Diniz faces Austen Lane.

Diniz (6-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted nearly two years. Diniz competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Eduardo Neves by first round TKO during the 2023 season. Diniz has competed six times as a professional MMA fighter and all of his fights have ended within the first round.

Lane (12-4-0-1NC) is winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Justin Tafa at UFC 293 and also fighting Tafa to a no contest in their first meeting at UFC On ABC 5. Lane competed twice before on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Richard Jacobi and losing to Greg Hardy. Lane has competed 17 times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts have gone the distance.

UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 27 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
