A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 301 according to Carlos Contreras Legaspi as Alessandro Costa faces Kevin Borjas.
Costa (13-4-0) has won just one of three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Jimmy Flick at UFC On ESPN 47. Costa previously competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Andres Luna Martinetti by split decision during the 2022 season. Costa has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of submission.
Borjas (9-2-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a bout to Joshua Van by unanimous decision at UFC 295. Borjas also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Victor Dias by unanimous decision during the 2023 season. Borjas has earned nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of KO/TKO.
