A featherweight division attraction has been added to the April 27 UFC Fight Night card according to Pearce himself (via Spinnin Back Fist) as Jonathan Pearce faces Khusein Askhabov.
Pearce (14-5-0) has won five of his last six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Kai Kamaka III, Omar Morales, Christian Rodriguez, Makwan Amirkhani and Darren Elkins. Pearce hasn’t earned a victory in over a year, with his last win coming at UFC On ESPN 42 in October of 2022. Pearce has competed 19 times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went the distance.
Askhabov (23-1-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a bout to Jamall Emmers by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 219. Askhabov had won 23 straight before that loss in his UFC debut and that winning streak lasted for just under eight years. Askhabov has earned 23 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 10 of them have come by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 27 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
