Junior Tafa stepped in for brother Justin Tafa at UFC 298 and now the favor has been returned because MMA Fighting is reporting that Justin will step in on short notice to face Karl Williams at UFC Fight Night 240.

Tafa (7-3-0-1NC) has won three of his last four in the UFC, with those wins coming over Harry Hunsucker, Parker Porter and Austen Lane. Tafa hasn’t been defeated in over two years, with his last loss coming to Jared Vanderaa at UFC Fight Night 188 in May of 2021. Tafa has earned seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

Williams (9-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Lukasz Brzeski and Chase Sherman. Williams is competing for the first time in almost a year, with his last fight happening in May of 2023. Williams has suffered a single defeat as a pro fighter and that came to Jason Butcher at B2 Fighting Series 142.

UFC Fight Night 240 takes place on Saturday, March 23 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Rose Namajunas and Amanda Ribas headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
