UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O’Malley defends the gold against Marlon Vera this Saturday Night in the main event of UFC 299.
A report from KOReps on X is stating that Merab Dvalishvili will be serving as the backup fighter for the bantamweight title fight at UFC 299:

Dvalishvili will only be competing in the main event of UFC 299 if either the champion or the challenger cannot make it into the Octagon at UFC 299.
