By David Tees on 3/8/2024 2:24 PM

A flyweight division rematch will headline the April 27 UFC Fight Night card according to Alex Behunin as Manel Kape faces Matheus Nicolau.

Kape (19-6-0) enters the contest riding a four fight winning streak, defeating Ode Osbourne, Zhalgas Zhumagulov, David Dvorak and Felipe Dos Santos. Kape lost the first fight to Nicolau, which came via split decision at UFC Fight Night 187 in March of 2021. Kape is headlining his first UFC card, despite having been with the promotion for over three years.

Nicolau (19-3-1) has won three of four since the first bout with Kape, with those wins coming over Tim Elliott, David Dvorak and Matt Schnell. Nicolau is also headlining his first UFC card, despite having had two separate runs under the UFC banner. Nicolau has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 27 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Manel Kape and Matheus Nicolau headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
