A middleweight division attraction has been added to the May 18 UFC Fight Night card according to Marcel Dorff as Abus Magomedov faces Warlley Alves.
Magomedov (25-6-1) has won just one of three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Dustin Stoltzfus at UFC Fight Night 209. Magomedov enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t won a bout in over a year. Magomedov also competed in the PFL, where he won three of five before coming to the UFC in 2022.
Alves (14-7-0) enters this encounter riding a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a victory in over three years. Alves’ last victory came at UFC On ESPN 20 in January of 2021, where he defeated Mounir Lazzez by first round TKO. Alves has suffered seven losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came during UFC competition.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
