A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 301 according to La Sueur as William Gomis faces Jean Silva.
Gomis (13-2-0) is undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Jarn Errens, Francis Marshall and Yanis Ghemmouri. Gomis hasn’t been defeated in over seven years, with his last loss coming to Morgan Charriere at 100% Fight Contenders 33 in November of 2016. Gomis has earned 13 wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Silva (12-2-0) is also undefeated thus far in his UFC journey, having defeated Westin Wilson by first round TKO at UFC Fight Night 234. Silva also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Kevin Vallejos by unanimous decision during the 2023 season. Silva has competed 14 times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance.
UFC 301 takes place on Saturday, May 4 from the Jeunesse Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
