A featherweight division attraction has been added to the April 27 UFC Fight Night card according to The Legend Of MagicM MMA as Jonathan Pearce faces David Onama.
Pearce (14-5-0) has won five of seven in the UFC, with those wins coming over Kai Kamaka III, Omar Morales, Christian Rodriguez, Makwan Amirkhani and Darren Elkins. Pearce hasn’t picked up a win in over a year, as his last victory came at UFC On ESPN 42 in December of 2022. Pearce competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Jacob Rosales by third round TKO during the 2019 season.
Onama (11-2-0) has won three of his last four in the UFC, defeating the trio of Gabriel Benitez, Garrett Armfield and Gabriel Santos. Onama has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came during UFC competition. Onama has competed 13 times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, April 27 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Manel Kape and Matheus Nicolau headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
