A light heavyweight division encounter has been added to UFC 301 according to Laerte Viana as Anthony Smith faces Vitor Petrino.
Smith (37-19-0) has won just one of his last four in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Ryan Spann at UFC Fight Night 225. Smith has previously challenged for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title, losing to then champion Jon Jones at UFC 235. Smith has earned 37 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 20 of those victories came by way of KO/TKO.
Petrino (11-0-0) has already earned four wins in the UFC, with those coming over Anton Turkalj, Marcin Prachnio, Modestas Bukauskas and Tyson Pedro. Petrino competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Rodolfo Bellato by second round knockout during the 2022 season. Petrino has competed 11 times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance.
