REPORT: JOSHUA VAN IN, JOSE JOHNSON OUT ON APRIL 6 UFC CARD

Jose Johnson will no longer be competing on the April 6 UFC Fight Night card according to Marcel Dorff, replacing him against Lucas Rocha is Joshua Van.

Rocha (17-1-0) is making his UFC debut in this encounter and he does so on the strength of a six fight winning streak. Rocha competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Davi Bittencourt by second round knockout during the 2023 season. Rocha has suffered a single loss as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Alan Gabriel Dos Santos at Future FC 9 in October of 2019.

Van (10-1-0) is undefeated under the UFC banner, defeating the trio of Zhalgas Zhumagulov, Kevin Borjas and Felipe Burns. Van has picked up 10 wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them have come by way of KO/TKO. Van has also suffered a single loss as a professional MMA fighter and his came to Devon Jackson at Fury FC 55.

UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 6 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
