Gabriel Miranda has been pulled from the March 23 UFC Fight Night card according to The Legend Of MagicM MMA, replacing him against Billy Quarantillo is Youssef Zalal.
Quarantillo (18-5-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last seven UFC bouts, with his latest being a win over Damon Jackson at UFC On ESPN 50. Quarantillo hasn’t started a winning streak in almost eight years and his last such streak lasted for eight fights. Quarantillo has earned 18 wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Zalal (13-5-1) is going to be starting his second UFC run and he does so on the strength of a three fight winning streak. Zalal won three of seven during his first UFC run, with those wins coming over Austin Lingo, Jordan Griffin and Peter Barrett. Zalal has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Rose Namajunas and Amanda Ribas headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
