By David Tees on 3/17/2024 8:31 AM

A middleweight division attraction has been added to the June 8 UFC Fight Night card according to Farah Hannoun as Julian Marquez faces Zach Reese.

Marquez (9-4-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping fights to Gregory Rodrigues and Marc-Andre Barriault. Marquez hasn’t won a fight in almost three years, with his last win coming over Sam Alvey at UFC On ABC 2 in April of 2021. Marquez competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Phil Hawes by second round knockout during the 2017 season.

Reese (6-1-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Cody Brundage via first round knockout at UFC On ESPN 42. Reese also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Eli Aronov by first round submission during the 2023 season. Reese has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those fights went past the opening round.

UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, June 8 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
