A bantamweight division attraction is heading to UFC On ABC 7 according to AG Fight as #4 Marlon Vera faces #6 Deiveson Figueiredo.
Vera (23-9-1) is competing for the first time since losing a title bout to UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O’Malley at UFC 299. Vera has won five of his last seven in the UFC, with notable wins coming over Frankie Edgar, Rob Font, Dominick Cruz and Pedro Munhoz. Vera has suffered nine losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of decision.
Figueiredo (23-3-1) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Cody Garbrandt and Rob Font. Figueiredo is a former multi-time UFC Flyweight Champion, successfully defending the gold once during the title reigns. Figueiredo has earned 23 wins as a professional MMA fighter, with 18 of them coming via a mixture of KO/TKO and submission.
UFC On ABC 7 takes place on Saturday, August 3 from the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi with Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ABC.
