A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Denver according to the Iridium Sports Agency as Christian Rodriguez faces Julian Erosa.
Rodriguez (11-1-0) enters the contest riding a four fight winning streak, defeating the four pack of Joshua Weems, Raul Rosas Jr., Cameron Saaiman and Isaac Dulgarian. Rodriguez has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Jonathan Pearce at UFC Fight Night 201. Rodriguez also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, where he defeated Reyes Cortez Jr. by unanimous decision.
Erosa (29-11-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Ricardo Ramos at UFC On ESPN 53. Erosa hasn’t put a winning streak together in almost three years and his last such streak lasted for three fights. Erosa has earned 29 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 13 of them have come by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night Denver is scheduled for Saturday, July 13 from a location to be announced in Denver, Colorado with Rose Namajunas and Maycee Barber headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast details have yet to be revealed.
