Three more fights have been added to the ever-growing UFC On ABC 7 as UFC CEO Dana White has announced that Nick Diaz faces #14 Vicente Luque in a five round co-main event, while former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson faces Michael Chiesa and #7 Mackenzie Dern faces #10 Loopy Godinez.
Diaz (26-10-0-2NC) is looking for his first win in almost 13 years and he enters the contest while riding a three fight losing streak. Luque (22-10-1) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC On ESPN 51.
Ferguson (25-10-0) enters the contest on a seven fight losing streak and he hasn’t earned a victory in almost five years. Chiesa (16-7-0) enters the bout while riding three fight losing streak, with his last win coming over Neil Magny at UFC On ESPN 20 in January of 2021.
Dern (13-5-0) has won just one of her last four under the UFC auspices, with that win coming against Angela Hill at UFC Fight Night 223 in May of last year. Godinez (12-4-0) has won four of her last five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Cynthia Calvillo, Emily Ducote, Elise Reed and Tabatha Ricci.
UFC On ABC 7 takes place on Saturday, August 7 from the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi with Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ABC.
